Crossover \u00ae is a systemic herbicide, conditionally selective from the chemical group of triazines (ametrine) and isoxazolidinones (clomazone). The product has a double mechanism of action and can be applied in pre-emergence or initial post-emergence to control weed plants in the sugarcane crop<\/p>\n

Mode of action of Crossover \u00ae\u00a0<\/h2>\n

This product has a double mechanism of action. First, ametrine is a photosynthesis inhibitor and acts in the inhibition of photosystem II and electron transport, causing electron accumulation in the QB protein, which in turn promotes lipid peroxidation. Clomazone is metabolized in the form of 5-Keto, which is the active herbicide. The form of 5-Keto clomazone inhibits 1-deoxy-D-xylulose 5-phosphate synthase (DOXP), a key component for the synthesis of isoprenoid plastids, precursors of photosynthetic pigment, determining the reduction in the level of carotene and phytol and, consequently, chlorophyll.<\/p>\n
