Mode of Action of Brucia \u00ae<\/h2>\n

After reaching the leaves and other aerial parts, Brucia is quickly absorbed by the weeds and begins to act by inhibiting HPPD (4-hydroxyphenylpyruvatedioxygenase \u2013 4HPPD). By blocking this enzyme, Brucia prevents the production of carotenes, pigments that protect chlorophyll from degradation. Without chlorophyll, there is no photosynthesis, causing the death of the weeds.<\/p>\n
