Know Seguris ®
Seguris® is a foliar fungicide that combines two active ingredients with different modes of action, providing broad-spectrum disease control across various crops, such as cotton, corn, and soybeans. Its formulation was developed to deliver consistent performance under varying disease pressure conditions, making it a strategic tool within Ourofino Agrociência’s integrated disease management program.
Mode and mechanism of action
Seguris® works through the unique combination of two complementary modes of action, with the preventive activity of Isopyrazam® and the systemic action of Prothioconazole, providing protection also during the early stages of infection.
- Isopyrazam (Group C2 – SDHI): inhibits fungal cellular respiration by blocking Complex II of the respiratory chain, impairing the energy production essential for pathogen survival.
- Prothioconazole (Group G1 – DMI): interferes with ergosterol biosynthesis, a fundamental component of fungal cell membranes, affecting their structure and development.
This combination provides complementary activity and contributes to more robust disease control.

Attributes and benefits
Next-generation carboxamide
Developed with cutting-edge technology, Seguris® brings an unprecedented carboxamide to the Brazilian market. The combination of two high-performance active ingredients, with no selection pressure, provides dual preventive and curative action, acting at different stages of fungal development. As a result, it delivers long-lasting protection and greater security for crop management.
Extended residual activity
The next-generation carboxamide in Seguris® has a high affinity for the waxy layer of leaves, remaining on the plant surface for longer. This characteristic provides extended residual activity, expanding the protection window and maintaining efficacy even under high disease pressure. The result is greater crop protection and higher yield potential from the beginning to the end of the crop cycle.
Broad-spectrum disease control
Seguris® offers versatility across different crops, with effective control of a wide range of diseases, including leaf spots and EODs (end-of-cycle diseases). This characteristic provides growers with greater peace of mind and enhanced confidence when developing consistent and sustainable crop protection programs.
Resistance Management
To preserve the efficacy of Seguris®, use it in rotation with fungicides with different modes of action, follow application recommendations, adopt good integrated disease management practices, and consult a qualified agronomist. Continuous use of fungicides with the same mode of action may favor the development of resistance in fungal populations.
To preserve product efficacy:
-
Alternate fungicides with different modes of action
-
Use Seguris® as part of rotation programs
-
Correctly follow the recommended rate, application interval, and timing
-
Integrate with cultural practices (crop rotation, resistant cultivars, and proper crop management)
-
Preferably make preventive applications
-
Consult a qualified agronomist for regional guidance.
