Brucia ®

Finding the treasure of productivity in agriculture has never been so easy!

Meet Brucia ®

Ourofino Agrociência presents Brucia, a selective post-emergent herbicide for the management of resistant or difficult-to-control weeds in corn crops. Developed and patented by the multinational ISK, Brucia is Japanese technology and innovation at the service of Brazilian agriculture.

Mode of Action of Brucia ®

After reaching the leaves and other aerial parts, Brucia is quickly absorbed by the weeds and begins to act by inhibiting HPPD (4-hydroxyphenylpyruvatedioxygenase – 4HPPD). By blocking this enzyme, Brucia prevents the production of carotenes, pigments that protect chlorophyll from degradation. Without chlorophyll, there is no photosynthesis, causing the death of the weeds.
